Our project sites, notably the Belum Rainforest Resort at the gateway to the Belum and Temengor Rainforest, are dedicated to community support. The Pulau Banding Foundation (PBF) and the EMKAY Foundation act as our moral compass, guiding our efforts in environmental conservation and community development.

EMKAY FOUNDATION

Yayasan (Foundation) EMKAY was founded on January 12, 2001, by the late Tan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Hj. Mustapha Kamal Bin Hj Abu Bakar and his wife, Datin Sri Hjh. Wan Nong Hj Wan Ibrahim. They established this heartfelt foundation to continue their philanthropic efforts in helping those in need, especially underprivileged communities. Yayasan EMKAY provides support in areas like healthcare, education, and improving the overall quality of life.

Story

Pulau Banding
Foundation

Pulau Banding Foundation began with the establishment of the Pulau Banding Charter on July 24, 2007. A diverse panel of advisors came together to explore the management opportunities and challenges of the 600-acre land on Pulau Banding. This led to the formation of the Pulau Banding Foundation on November 7 of the same year. Simultaneously, a strategic plan was devised for the foundation, including the creation of a Research Center focused on the 3P concept: People, Planet, and Profit. This approach ensures the foundation's sustainability and eventual financial independence.
